My Trip to San Francisco
Introduction
Hello friends! I hope you all are having a great day so far. I just wanted to take this time to tell you about an opportunity that I have coming up this May. So, as many of you know I am a part of the Good Work Agency here at the University of Mobile. This May, we have a group of students that will be traveling across the nation to San Francisco, California to visit Silicon Valley and many major company headquarters located out there such as, Facebook, Google, Apple, Dropbox, and Abide. What are we doing?
We have several connections with fellow Christians who work at some of the large corporations in Silicon Valley. When we travel this May, we will be meeting up and fellowshipping with these people. Our contact at Facebook actually leads a faith-based group of Christians within these corporations and we have the opportunity to actually lead them in worship at Facebook HQ. This will help us build lasting connections with people who are across the country from us and allow us to spread the gospel.
Why is this important?
Not only do we get to fellowship with these people, we will also get to see the culture of working at these places and get to learn about the industry into which many of us at the agency are going. The connections we make on this trip could very well be life-changing for some of us. Like I mentioned before, we have the opportunity to spread the gospel.
How can YOU be a part of this journey?
Here’s where you come in! The fact is that I will not be able to attend this extraordinary opportunity if I do not have sufficient funds to cover my trip. At the agency we’ve done a few fundraising activities to ease the cost of the trip, however, we are still a ways off from our goal of $10,000 ($2,000 per person). I usually don’t like asking people for money, however, I know that the only way for me to go on this trip of a lifetime is to fundraise. For those of you who would like to donate, continue reading.

Often, people forget the power of prayer but I believe the good Lord will provide if he has ordained us to go on this trip.
